Aaaaahhhhhhhh!!!!!!!!!!!

Finally, all of our move is complete.  I am still unpacking, still trying to make this house my new home.  Slowly but surely, we are getting there.  So I finally got around to finishing up my latest project.  I would love to hear your feedback.  Melting snowmen!  This is a pattern I bought from Country Whims and it is really simple and I think:  SO DARN CUTE!

I made six of these but I see many more in my future.  Of course, I added and changed a few things....like the little tag.  I used black buttons instead of the stones that the pattern called for.  And can you guesswhat the nose is made of???? I painted little tiny Christmas lights like these:

I also didn't grunge up the warm and natural batting.  Instead I very sparingly sprinkled some matte glitter (is that an oxymoron???) to add the tiniest bit of sparkle.  I would love your comments.....

I'm getting there....

I am still unpacking but closing in on the end.  I can say this one thing.....Destash!  I have got to purge some of this stuff!  Too many patterns, fabric, paintbrushes, spools of thread, bottles of paint, skeins of yarn, etc, etc.......So I have my work cut out for me.

I have a small studio at this house....actually bedroom number 3....with only one window.  But here is my view!

Yes, my little bloggie friends, that white stuff is snow and the calendar does indeed read April 17.  It has been snowing off and on since Sunday.  Yesterday we had over a foot before it stopped.  Then it nearly all melted off and it started again this morning.   

 

I finally got drapes and window shades, some rugs and lamps yesterday.  But I have a whole bunch more to get.  Well, off to unpack.  Be back soon!
