Recovery

I really cannot believe that I haven't posted since August 15!  It seems like I am always posting something, facebook, etsy, pinterest and this blog.  How do other folks keep up with it all?

I had some minor surgery on my leg last Monday.  I thought it was supposed to be easy, peasy, but it really kicked my butt.  I did not get anything done for most of the week.
It really looks worse than it is and everyday I feel a bit better.  But I get so bored just sitting around.  So, like I always do this time of year, I canned.  I enjoy this so much and I love how beautiful it makes my pantry look.
Dilly beans, salsa, tomatoes, pickles, relish, and jalapeno jelly.  Yum!

I did work on a few crafts as well.  I have some painting going on but not ready for publication....haha..didn't that sound professional.  I worked on a bit of floral today:

Working on Chalk Couture tomorrow.  Have you checked out my videos yet?
See them at facebook.com/3ppod  If you haven't liked my page, why don't you do it now?  Lots of good stuff there.....

Well, I am off to put my leg up for a while.  Have a good week, y'all.

Wednesday Projects

I am busy as always, crafting and chalking this week.  I put a new video on Facebook.com/3ppod on inking on ceramic coffee mugs.  Check it out.  These make great gifts.  Here is a pic of the two I demoed:
This is done with metallic inks, though any color is fine.  After applying with the transfer, let dry overnight and put in your oven to heat set.  Want to know more?  I will send you a free sample so you can try before you buy.  A typical sample kit looks like this:
My little buddy, Skylar, my talented, beautiful granddaughter, is heading off to college on Saturday. 😢 She will be attending Montana State in Bozeman to major in studio art.  This is a sample of her work:
Since she is an artist and writer, I made her this for her dorm room:
We had a great time at a movie and lunch.  I will miss her greatly!  I cannot wait to see what is next in store for her.
If you would like to learn more about Chalk Couture, see or purchase some of my finished products, or just say hello, I will be at Aspen Grove Shopping Center for Food Fest on Sunday, August 19 from 11-4:00.  I would love to see you there!

Well I am heading out to what is left of my garden....my beautiful, lush garden was hit by a hail storm yesterday and is all but gone.  I am devastated.  But I refuse to cry over spilled milk....or shredded tomato plants.  Well maybe one or two tears......

What cha working on Wednesday?

What a busy week this has been!  I made my second Chalk Couture video.  I must be a bit tech challenged because after filming, I could only get it to go upside down.  Say what?!?!?  So like a good little grandmother, I went to YouTube to see what to do.  I finally did get it done, but it took such a long time.  Have you seen it?  You can view it here.  And while you are there, will you follow me?  And if you like the demo (there are two on this page), message me or contact me through this blog and I will send you a free sample.  You are gonna love this product.  If you didn't click over, here is a pic of the finished product.

These are new towels that I purchased at Goodwill.  My store has a section for new products.  This cost $2.99 for 2 towels.  Aren't they cute?  I am going to put a tag on them and tie with bakers twine.  I found this tag on Pinterest:
Instead of washcloth, I will just change it to dish towel.
Another thing, hubs has been helping me with my lamps again.  These are two of my favorites:

Still working on furniture but I have to work outdoors so it is slow going since it has been raining nearly every afternoon.

And I love this time of year....all my gardening.  This week, I harvested some peas, broccoli, and beets.

I love me some pickled beets.  Off to work on some paintbrushes.  Or laundry....or dishes....no, I think I'll work on some paintbrushes.
