Summertime....and the livin' is busy...

Seems like the older I get the busier I am.  How is all that possible?  It seems like we are always busy.  June is another celebratory month for us.  In addition to Father's Day, hubs birthday and our wedding anniversary are in June.  He had some more medical tests which, drum roll please.....gave us some good....no great...news!  No new bladder tumors and no additional cancer in the prostrate.  What a relief!  I am picking up the grandgirls tomorrow and we have company from out of state the following week.  Plus I have been making up a storm and working on another new project.  Ssshh.....its a secret.....but if all goes well, it is a big one!  Hope to be making an announcement soon.

So, I bought this little chair at the thrift store.....I thought I had a picture of it, but couldn't find it.  It was just a little child's chair, all wood, painted lime green and white.  I sanded all the paint off of it and painted it red......and hated it.  I sanded it again and came up with this sweet little princess chair.  I think some little girl is going to love it!

I found this little brass lamp at the thrift store.  It had a glass shade on it which I removed before the picture was taken.

After painting with hammered paint and adding an antique insulator, Voila!  I love this!

I broke out the Chalk Couture ink and inked up several of these sweet little drawstring bags!  These will make the cutest little gift bags.  And we have some of the cutest holiday transfers, perfect to ink on Halloween treat bags or Christmas gift bags!

And speaking of Chalk Couture......I made these signs recently as well.  The first one I gifted to my daughter.  I love the farmhouse style!

And you know how I love these vintage phones!  I buy these whenever I see them.  This one was beige, so I painted with red enamel paint and added a coat of glitter paint on top.  The center Santa is from some holiday scrapbook paper that I had on hand.

My friend Dawn gave me some small spiny twig wreaths.   I just simply added berries and stars.
 More of my collected treasures:

Just a little tip....These are not vintage pieces.  The sifter and grater were shiny aluminum and the small sifter was painted green (why?).  To make them look rusty, just spay with textured brown paint.  You get the look without ruining Grandma's antique.

So you see, this is just a small sampling of what I have been up to.  I am off to list some items on Etsy and water my garden.  Hope your summer is going well, my friends.  Happy crafting!
