Ebay is my life

I have been listing so much stuff on ebay these days.  Yesterday, I had eight items to ship.  Most of what I am listing is excess....I just have too much stuff.  In the last year I have cleared out 130 set of salt and pepper shakers.  Can you believe it???  I have sold books, loads of patterns, doggie clothes, and craft supplies. As long as my shipping is covered, I don't have to get rich.  I just need to DECLUTTER!!!  Here are a couple of things that I have listed:

I just want to get rid of some of the clutter before I start my next project!  I am going to start making patterns to sell.

I also worked on some salt dough ornies this weekend.  I will get a picture when I am finished.  So far, they aren't looking as good as I had envisioned.  Stay tuned...I know I can get it figured out!

Finally Friday

My mother used to say that she waited all week for this day and today, I guess I know what that means.  I have been so busy this week.  I have listed a whole bunch of stuff on ebay, and have sold several items, including my rag garland.  It really takes alot of time to photo and write up the descriptions.  Plus, I have been running errands for the business all week and taking care of some loose ends.  One of the items that I posted this week is the snowman below.  I know it is after Christmas, but he is really pretty large and if I didn't have to store him..........

I know, everyone is trying to think about spring, and here I go, bringing out a snowman....Call me crazy.
Well, short post for today.  I am off to meet my friend Johna for lunch.

Show

Happy Tuesday!  I went to my show on Saturday.  First of all, kudos to the folks at SHHS.  They were helpful and organized and it was a pleasure being there.  The traffic was steady, but sales were really slow.  I met some really nice folks and several old friends stopped by to visit.  That meant alot to me!
I have been busy selling on Ebay and working on lining up my fall shows.  I also have some openings for spring and summer, so let me know if you have any ideas.

Finally Friday

Well, it is finally Friday and I usually am very glad because I can sleep in on Saturday.  Well not this week!  Busy setting up in the morning for SSHS show.  I am planning to leave the house at 5:30... we will see how the plan develops...
One last pic for the week:

I love this bunny trio.  It is all one piece, bendable ears, tea stained for age.  They measure approx 11" tall and about 14" wide.  They will sell for $8 but this is the only set that I have made.  If you want a set, contact me and I will make them to order.

Well off to finish up a couple of things and to pack my car.  Later............

Baskets and chickies and eggs...Oh, My!

Here are a few of my new items.  I didn't make very many because: a) I ran out of time, b) I don't know how well they will sell, and c) It might be a little early for Easter, huh?  Well, primarily, it is a, but you already knew that if you know me.

The first picture is of three small primitive eggs in a rusty basket.  The second picture is really alot larger primitive eggs in a larger rusty basket.  This is the only two groups of eggs that I did.  I will take them to my show and see what the response is.  Let me know what you think.

These little chickies are really sweet.  You can't tell by the picture, but they are small and each has its own label, held on by a rusty pin.  I like the one that says "Vegan".....They are painted muslin and are aged with a cinnamon/vanilla/coffee stain, so they smell really good too.  I also dusted them ever so slightly with sparkle.

Here are a couple of spring wreaths that I whipped up to take to the show as well.

The flower seeds are actually little nails.  Guess how many times I smashed my fingers with a hammer??!!??

New to my blog is a buy now feature you will see on the side.  Right now I only have it set up to "buy now" for apples and bunnies.  If you see something else on the blog that you would like to purchase, contact me through my email address in the upper corner and I will let you know pricing and shipping costs.

Things I am doing....

Well, I have my first show of the year this Saturday.  It is at Smoky Hill High School in Aurora.  Stop by if you can....I will be in the West Gym.  I normally don't do many Spring shows, but I want to give this one a try,  One of my all-time best sellers is my pillows.  If nothing else, it grabs the attention of the buyers and puts them in a great mood.  Here are just a few:
I have many pillow sayings on many fabrics in many colors.  A couple of my new favorites are:  "Grandma says when God made me, He was showing off" and " If the shoe fits.....Buy one in every color!"  If you want to order a pillow, contact me.  In-stock pillows sell for $12 plus s&h.  Special orders may be slightly higher.

I am delighted to tell all that I am going to be Grandma again.  I already have three of the most beautiful grandchildren anyone could ask for.  But Heidi is pregnant and this time....with twins.  I guess you could say that she has two peas in a pod.  She is due in October, close to Brandi's birthday.  Is our angel sending us a gift?

More later............

Garlands

I have been making garlands!  Some are rag ties, some lighted, some on wire, some on twine.  Let me know your favorite!
This particular garland is 4 foot 7 inches long, is tied on twine, and has mini spools of thread spaced at intervals on the twine.  The ties are burgandy, green and black homespun checks.  You can see that it is plenty long to drape across a fireplace.  (This is my fake fireplace front that I use in my shows)  I will sell it for $12.  I will be placing it on my ebay auction later today so if you want it, let me know before I get bids.

This one is a springtime variation on a strand of white mini lights.  The homespun is pink, yellow and blue gingham.  The strand of 35 lights is over 8 ft long and would be perfect on a mantle, doorway, or hutch for the spring and Easter.  This will sell for $16 and will also be listed for auction later today.
These next two garlands are strung on wire so they are bendable.  I have a similar one across the valances in my studio.  The smaller one is 20" long and has buttons and spools randomly placed.  The larger one is about 45" long.  Small will sell for $5 and large for $7.
Well better get busy...going to sand on the desk....

Tuesday Triumph

I was home yesterday with an upset tummy and mostly laid around all day. I am feeling much better today, thus "Tuesday Triumph."  But Saturday was a whole lot of fun.  I went to another auction!  I got quite a buy on some baby items (since Heidi is expecting) and some toys for Brooklynne.  Like a doll house with furnishings and a kitchen set, ironing board, vacuum cleaner, doll stroller, and doll high chair.  We bought some tools, some glass ware which I will list on ebay:

I also worked this weekend on more apples, bunnies and a really cute rag tied garland.  I will post a picture soon.  This is one of the pumpkins that I have been making.
I sold a ton of these last year.  This is the large size (about the size of a carving pumpkin) and there is a smaller size as well.  The large sell for $10 and the small sell for $6.  They are so big that they are hard to store but people love them to set on the sofa as pillows or the table as a centerpiece.

My first show of the year is March 19 at Smoky Hill High School.  I've never done this show before so I have no idea what to expect.  If you can, come by and see me.

TGIF

Finally.....Friday.  I finished up my apples yesterday and they turned out so cute!  What do you think?

An apple a day....you know what they say.  And these are the little tie-ons:

They would be great for a gift package, an Easter/spring tree, or to hang in the window over the sink.

I also did a "basket of bunnies"  They are now in two colors.  Great as a centerpiece!

Don't forget to sign up as a follower.  Once I get 25 followers, I will do my first giveaway.

I finally set up the new bandsaw that I got for Christmas.  I tried a few cuts on some scrap wood.  I am itching to get started for real.  I have some ideas and will try to put some patterns together this weekend and begin my "woodwork" next week.

Have a great weekend, everyone!

Lots of bunnies

I have had some interest in my little bunnies, so I started making more for my spring show.  I made about a half dozen yesterday, along with some new items: an apple and pumpkins, and more candy corn.  They are going to sell for $3 each, so if you want any let me know so I can set some aside.  If they need to be shipped, add the shipping charges.  I'm also working on some little chicks and some eggs.  I will post pictures when I am done.  This is the sunflower wreath that I finished:
I used upholstery tacks for the seeds.  Let me know what you think......

Also, this is my before shot on the desk.  I sanded on the top yesterday, and discovered under the ugly brown paint, was ugly red paint.  This could take a while.  I have big plans for this:  kind of a shabby chic look so stay tuned for in process photos.
So, as they say:  I owe, I owe, so off to work I go......

Workbench of my very own

Well, Randy put my workbench together and I am so excited!  We have it at the shop, and I put signs on it with Keep Out! and a picture of a skull and crossbones.

One of the guys on our crew ask what that meant, and another said, "If you mess with Linda's stuff, she'll kill you!"  Okay, slight exaggeration, but at least they get the message.  I finished a sunflower wreath and some package tie-ons which I will photograph today and post tomorrow.  Today I am going to work on an old desk that I bought at an auction a few weeks ago.  I will get some before and after shots of that too.  I have great plans but this is really my first attempt at making junk into treasure.  Wish me luck!

Denver weather is like Spring today but I guess we are supposed to get some snow by the weekend.  Gotta take the bad with the good....I guess.  Happy Hump Day!

New to Blogging!

Ding, ding!  Hear ye, hear ye!  This is my first blog ever!  And I am so excited.  Sunday was my birthday and I received just what I wanted: a workbench.  Who would've thunk it?  It doesn't seem too long ago that I was asking for diamonds and gold and now it has changed to power tools and a workbench.  I feel so empowered!  Woo Hoo!!!

I will be doing a Spring Craft Show on March 19 at Smoky Hill High School.  I have never done as well with spring shows but just look at my new creations!  These little guys are so cute and will fit into any cubby, basket, or you can hang them as ornaments or decor.  They are about 3 x 5 (not including the ears)  And I am working on some more for fall:

And of course, my all time favorite time of year: Christmas!

Aren't the paint brush santas just the cutest ever?????

I will be offering some of my finished items as well as patterns later on when I get the hang of blogging.  In the mean time, just email me if you are interested.

For Christmas this year, Santa brought me a band saw.  I am just itching to start using it!  So many plans, so little time.  Gotta get busy....
